These are photos of my shop, and new mill, with the assembled frame to machine the surface where the Cyclinders are mounted. This surface was not machined when the frame was initially machined.
The frames was balanced on the mill table and a roller extension. Then the bottom surface of the pedistals were blocked up and clamped with a toe clamp across the top of the frame. The the mill table was raised off the extension.
The mill head was rotated over to allow the surface to be machined.
Also note in picture 4 that a drawer had to be removed from the cabinet to clear the cradle.
