New Mill 3

Here is a couple of pictures of my 'new' mill. I purchased it in January 2006. I had it delivered it to work where there is a dock and a fork-lift. It sat there for three months until could arrange for transportation home. When the panel truck came it was too tall, and I didn't get the head off until after the truck had to leave. I had to wait another month for a re-schedual. Once at home I arranged for a crew to move it into the basement where my shop is. For several reasons, the crews could not help. I wound up taking the entire mill apart except for anything that would compromize the squareness. One of the reasons I selected this mill was the possibility that the column could be seperated from the base. This turned out to be true and was the saving grace to allow a small crew with a heavy duty doly to move it. Me, my next door neighbor, and my son-in-law moved it into the basement in June. I rented a power stair doly, but we never used it.

I took me a couple of weeks to get it re-assembled and powered up.
